'Tholi Prema' as the title indicates is the love story of an intuitive handsome guy Varun Tej who falls madly in love at first sight with Raashi Khanna who evaluates the situations and takes decisions, unlike Varun Tej. Destiny has something in store for them and they happen to meet in an Engineering college again. The story moves forward with the differences in the thought process of these individuals who love each other and get separated due to some issues.


Aadi (Varun Tej) meets Varsha (Raashi Khanna) for the first time in a train journey and Aadi falls for Varsha. Life has its ways of getting people together. Aadi and Varsha happen to meet in their engineering college, they get to know each other and the series of events reveal their personalities and mindsets to each other. Aadi gets to know that Varsha is a very practical and methodical person. Varsha realizes that Aadi has temperament issues and is completely different from her. This leads to their separation. After engineering, they take up their respective jobs and happen to meet in London where they work for the same construction company. What happens to them after they meet? Will their Love take a step forward?  Will their love blossom in the end? We have to watch 'Tholi Prema' to know about their lives.

Plus Points:

  • Varun Tej looks great and performs with ease.  He looks convincing and carries his style in an elegant way.
  • Raashi Khanna has good screen space and also presence. She looks good throughout the movie and she owns the role of Varsha. She justified her role 100 percent.
  • Dialogs are superb and are touching at times.
  • Priyadarshi and Hyper Aadi have good supporting roles.
  • Director draws our attention by converting a regular story to a beautiful one with his stylish way of storytelling.
  • Music by SS Thaman enhances the movie and is very refreshing.
  • Suhasini plays a crucial role of hero's mother which is impressive.
  • Cinematography

  • Routine elements in the story
  • Simple climax

Technical Aspects:

  • High Production values
  • Music worked well and is a plus. Songs and the background score are one of the best in this genre by Thaman. 
  • The visuals by George C Williams are wonderful.
  • Editing has been done well.
  • The art department has done a decent job.


Tholi Prema is a movie delight.Though it has a regular plot, fresh looks and mindblowing visuals attract us to the core. Director narrated the simple love story in a very pleasant manner. Go for it this weekend and you will leave with a good feel.
