Padmaavat is an epic tale of Rani Padmavati (Deepika Padukone). The  Queen Padmaavati's gorgeous beauty becomes the mutual objective for both Raja Ratan Singh who is the protagonist and Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) who is the antagonist. What does Alauddin Khilji do to gain her and what happens in this fight for queen forms the rest of the story.

Its Ranveer Singh (Alauddin Khilji) who  enormously carries the entire responsibility of 'Padmaavat' on his shoulders and his contribution to the movie is extraordinary.

Coming  to the story, Raja Ratan Singh is staunch and serene who is the ruler of Mewar. He wins the confidence of Mewar Kingdom and mainly Rani Padmaavati's heart with his positive acts. Deepika is gleaming as a Rajput princess and she seems to be the epitome of elegance. We can name it as a visual extravaganza.  Alauddin Khilji on the other side unleashes a beastly magnetism as a barbaric Sultan and he steals the show with his scarred face and his hostile character. The Scenes between Shahid kapoor and Ranveer Singh are the most engaging. The story of Padmaavat is Bhansaali's expertise in vision and the grandeur way it is presented surely makes it a masterpiece. The extent to which Ranveer Singh goes to fulfill his greed is shown in a way larger than life.

Plus Points:

  • Deepika Padukone's stunning appearance
  • Ranveer Singh's electric performance where he shows his aggressiveness which brings shivers.
  • Shahid Kapoor
  • Special mention to Malik Kafur (Jim Sarbh) who does his masters bidding with glee.
  • Aditi Rao Hydari did a decent job.

Minus Points:

  • Movie is slow
  • Illogical fiction added to epic drama which looks a bit odd.

Technical Aspects:

  • Ghoomar song composition is exceptionally good.
  • Cinematography is brilliant.
  • unbeatable Craftsmanship of Bhansali.
  • Cinematography is on top notch
  • Music

Padmaavat is a classic tale shown in a royal way by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his trademark style. The performances of the actors are surely convincing and become one of the must reasons to watch. Except for a drag and some fictional scenes the movie is definitely worth a wonderful watch.
