The hero has a unique quality of using only branded items right from the hair oil he uses to the shoe he wears. Some of us would surely have this special habit. Director Maruthi took this as a story line and weaved a story and gave the responsibility of directing it to director Prabhakar. How the hero keeps chasing the brands is what the story runs around.

Industrialist Ratnam (Murali Sharma) brings up his son Diamond Babu(Sumanth Shailendra) imbibing in him a habit of using only branded items which finally makes him become a Brand Babu. Brought up in such circumstances the hero wants his wife also to be like a branded item. He then starts loving Home Minister’s daughter (Poojitha). He feels happy that he would get a brand of being called as ‘Home Ministers’s Son in-law’. He gets ready to get married to her. But right at the moment of Engagement both the father and son get a mind blowing shock. Poojitha (Eesha Rebba) turns out to be a maid in Home Minister's house but not his daughter. The wedding gets cancelled.

People boycott the family of Ratnam saying they cheated the heroine's family. A twist takes place then which leads to the father and son realizing their mistake. To know what happens finally, would Diamond Ratnam get back to Poojitha or not is what is to be watched on the silver screen.

Plus Points:

  • Murali Sharma’s superb comedy timing and acting
  • Comedy with Brand as backdrop
  • Diamond Babu’s Wedding Invitation Song
  • Performances of Eesha, Sumanth and all other artists.

Minus Points:

  • Emotions which are not so touching
  • Lagging Second Half

Technical Aspects:

  • JB’s Songs and BGM is good
  • Karthik Pralani’s Cinematography is remarkable
  • Impressive Production Values

It is a very good comedy entertainer which depicts the craziness of some of the rich brats who run behind branded products. Relax yourself with this laughing treat this weekend.
