Gazhi fame Sanklap Reddy has come up with yet another out of the box film which is made on a space backdrop, Anthariksham 9000 Kmph. Varun Tej has attempted something like this for the first time and the film had huge expectations on it, as the teaser and trailer raised the bar on this thriller film. Let us see if the movie has stood up to the expectations of the audience.

The movie opens up in a Ground Space Center which is based at Andhra Pradesh. A satellite ‘Mihira’ suddenly loses track and creates a chaos as it has a potential of bringing down the global communication system. Surprisingly there is only one person who can fix it, who is none other than our hero Dev(Varun Tej). Dev quits the space center five years back due to some personal reasons, and Riya(Aditi Rao Hydari) goes in search of him. Parvathi(Lavanya Tripathi) is shown in the flash back of Dev as his lady love. Dev who initially hesitates to help the space time finally gets convinced and joins on the mission.

Dev, Riya and two more astronauts (Raja Chebolu and Satya Dev) heads towards space to fix the issues with ‘Mihira’. How they resolve the issue and gets back and what do they do during this journey forms the rest of the story.

Plus Points:

  • Acting skills of the star cast
  • Gripping direction without deviating from the theme
  • Background Score
  • Decent enough VFX works

Minus Points:

  • Lagging Second Half
  • Lack of depth in portraying the technical problems related to the satellite

Technical Aspects:

  • Good Production Values
  • Back ground score by Prashanth Vihari is excellent
  • VFX decent enough though not perfect everywhere

For those who love different kind of genres and thrillers, this is a must watch. Check it out this weekend.
